The official name is the Kingdom of Sweden.
The nature of the regime is a Constitutional Monarchy.
The King's name is Carl XVI Gustaf since 15 September 1973 and the head of government is Stefan Löfven (Social Democrat) since 3 October 2014.

Sweden has an area of 450,295 km² and its capital is Stockholm.
The main cities are Gothenburg, Malmö, Uppsala and Linköping.
The official language is Swedish and the currency is the Swedish Crown (SEK).
Their national holiday is June 6.
The Population in 2020 according to the latest polls would be 10 348,730 inhabitants.
Today Sweden is a parliamentary monarchy. Since the adoption of a new Constitution in 1974, King Carl Gustav XVI has had an honorary position as head of state. Parliament consists of a single chamber with 349 seats whose members are elected by direct and proportional suffrage for four years.

Sweden's foreign policy is characterized by its commitment to pacifism, non-alignment, human rights, gender equality, universalism and multilateralism.
Sweden is the leading Nordic country in terms of the size of its economy (GDP of 471 billion euros in 2019, for a population that exceeded 10 million in January 2017), and one of the most dynamic European Union countries with average growth of 3% between 2014 and 2018, although this has since slowed. Despite this economic slowdown, Sweden continued to show very positive indicators before the health crisis, especially in the labor market, where unemployment in 2018 reached one of its lowest levels in 10 years at 6.3 percent. Public debt had fallen below 40 percent of GDP in 2018 and stood at 35.1 percent of GDP in 2019.

The country enjoys a highly competitive productive apparatus, combining an old industrial base built around raw materials and industry, and a leading presence in the sectors of NICT, life sciences, green technologies and creative industries.
